Seleta Talbot - Seleta was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho and recently moved to the Idaho Falls area with her husband Brett and two children. Previously, she lived and worked in New York State.
Music has always been her love and passion. She has formally studied flute, piano, and voice. Seleta earned a double major in Music Education and Flute Performance from Idaho State University in 2003.
Her formal vocal experience started at age 8 singing in the Idaho State Children’s Chorus. Later she sang with other choirs including Irving Jr. High, Pocatello High School, and Concert Choir at Idaho State University.
Seleta has 12 years of music education experience and has taught flute, piano, and voice. During her time in NY she directed her youth church choir as well as accompanying for numerous soloists and small groups. One of her cherished experiences was teaching selections from the Messiah to her youth choir. She is a firm believer that music opens up new worlds for children and that through singing, they can learn about and appreciate new languages and other cultures.
Seleta is excited to start this new adventure with Best Foot Forward Performing arts children’s chorus, where she will help the children learn and feel the joy of music.
