Katie Hildreth has always loved music and dancing. Even from a very early age, she was found spending many hours dancing and singing every where she went! Katie grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and Tucson, AZ. She took dance lessons from Dance, Etc., Tracy's Dance Academy and Centre Stage Dance, where she first started teaching when she was 16 years old.
Katie received her associate degree at BYU-Idaho and continues to grow in her passion for teaching dance. She taught dance to children in the after-school programs in Rexburg, ID and had a small studio in St. Anthony, ID. Katie also started the dance team at South Fremont High School and served as choreographer for community theater productions of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Crazy For You".
After a few moves, Katie finally came to Idaho Falls in 2007 and opened Step It Up Dance, which she ran for 4 years. She took a break from her studio to raise and support her four beautiful daughters but continued to teach tap classes privately and for Vogue Dance Company. In 2016, Katie received her fitness certification with AFAA. In the community, Katie served as the producer of IFYAC's production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", Stage Manager for IFOT's production "Cosi Fan Tutte" and Choreographer IFOT"S production of "HMS Pinnafore" and for IFYAC's "James and the Giant Peach Jr.". Most importantly, she has produced, directed and choreographed for our own children's theater with the productions of Annie Jr., Seussical Jr., Unhappily Ever After, and High School Musical Jr.
Katie also works along side her mother (Robyn Wallwork) at Best Foot Forward Performing Arts Preschool and has developed a love for the children there.
